Dr. Saday Barrett
Dr. Saday Barrett is a bestselling author, psychotherapist, educator, and podcast host whose work bridges storytelling, mental health, and personal development. Her children’s book, The Kangaroo and the Cat, debuted at #1 in Amazon’s children’s book section and continues to receive five-star reviews for its warmth and imagination.
Born on the vibrant island of Jamaica, Dr. Barrett published her first story in a national newspaper while still in high school. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism from Fairleigh Dickinson University, followed by graduate degrees in Business, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Psychology. Her Doctorate in Healthcare Administration reflects her commitment to holistic well-being and leadership.
Dr. Barrett’s career spans media, corporate leadership, and entrepreneurship. She hosted a variety show on WNJR radio in New Jersey, freelanced for newspapers across Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States, and served as Editor in Chief and Features Writer for The Inciter, an AT&T magazine. She has held executive roles in major U.S. corporations and successfully ran her own professional services firm.
Today, she hosts the podcast Adolescence: What Every Parent, Teacher and Teen Should Know, where she shares insights on youth development, mental health, and communication.
